Community Legal Education
NNJLS works in partnership with community-based organizations throughout Bergen, Hudson and Passaic Counties to help educate residents about their legal rights and responsibilities. NNJLS staff attorneys conduct workshops for residents and community group volunteers and staff on a variety of topics, including consumer law, domestic violence, landlord/tenant law, public benefits, income tax matters, immigration, expungement of criminal records and legal issues affecting the senior community.
