As Legal Services of New Jersey (LSNJ) commemorates 55 years of anti-poverty advocacy and providing civil legal assistance to the state’s most vulnerable, low-income residents, we invite you to join in an opportunity to sponsor social and equal justice events and efforts across our state. There are several exciting opportunities to provide equal access to justice to all New Jerseyans this year as we commemorate this important milestone. Your support can be part of our year-round programming—as a Campaign for Justice Sponsor at the Equal Justice Champion or Equal Justice Advocate level—or as a sponsor at one or more of the upcoming events described below.
As an Equal Justice Champion or Equal Justice Advocate
and Receive These Year-Round Benefits
EQUAL JUSTICE CHAMPION: $40,000 campaign gift
- Firm name or logo in Campaign for Justice materials (printed, electronic, and web-based) and acknowledgment in targeted communications, including social media posts and quarterly newsletters
- Event sponsorship benefits at the Equal Justice Leader level at all three events (see Annual Events 2022 below), plus the opportunity to make opening remarks at one De Miller Justice Series event
- CLE-accredited training opportunities for your firm’s staff
- Legal Services Fellowship, branded with the firm’s name, with a portion of the gift being used as stipend
Training Opportunities for Equal Justice Champions
Depending on the firm’s needs, CLE- accredited training, provided by LSNJ expert trainers, as follows:
- Firm staff are invited to attend LSNJ CLE-accredited pro bono trainings throughout the year, or
- Special on-site training session scheduled for the firm’s staff
Topics include but are not limited to the following: Family (divorce, custody), Expungement, Domestic Violence, Housing, Education, Bankruptcy. LSNJ staff will assist with CLE credit verification.

- Firm name or logo in Campaign for Justice materials (printed, electronic, and web-based) and acknowledgment in targeted communications, including social media posts and quarterly newsletter
- Event sponsorship benefits at the Equal Justice Leader level at all three events (see Annual Events 2022 on reverse)
Equal Justice Awards Reception
Annual, ticketed event taking place in June 2022 to honor those whose work has made New Jersey a more equitable place for all, irrespective of income, including inductees into the Circle of Honor in the New Jersey Equal Justice Library and Archive (NJEJLA.org)
Melville “De” Miller, Jr. Justice Series
Free events, held at least twice a year, with lecturers whose endeavors advance the principles of equal justice and fairness under the law on topics to appeal to both lawyers and non-lawyers
55th Anniversary of New Jersey Legal Services
Commemorative evening event, to be scheduled for late 2022 at a centrally located venue
In addition to the priority reserved seating described below, all event sponsors receive:
- Acknowledgement before the event in electronic communications, prominently on all LSNJ websites and social media, in event publicity, promotional announcements, and quarterly newsletter
- Acknowledgment at the event with prominent sign-age, in the printed event program, and verbally during the program
