Income

LSNWJ's Basic Needs Program serves households whose income falls at or below 250% of the Federal Poverty Level. The income guidelines for our basic needs program, effective January 23, 2019, are:

Add $266 for each additional household member.

Some LSNWJ programs have different income eligibility. The income eligibility for people affected by HIV/AIDS is 500% of the Federal Poverty Level. Vulnerable seniors, age 60 or older, are eligible for services regardless of income. Please contact LSNWJ for specific guidelines for special projects.

Assets

LSNWJ does not include the principal residence of the applicant, a motor vehicle for each adult in the household, certain retirement benefits, personal and household goods, work-related equipment, disability-related equipment and assets that cannot be accessed by the applicant.

Maximum Countable Assets

Assets that are Readily Convertible to Cash: Up to $11,000 for an individual, plus $5,000 for each additional household member.
Assets that are not Readily Convertible to Cash: Up to $22,000 for an individual, plus $10,000 for each additional household member.
